Product Statement

Vertical bamboo plywood is built from slim Moso bamboo strips stood edge-up and laminated into a flat, balanced panel. This edge-grain orientation creates fine, parallel lines and a calm visual rhythm that designers love for tall doors, wall systems and reception counters. Cross-laminated cores keep the sheet steady after CNC machining and coating. Colors include Natural (light) and Carbonized (caramel/amber); chocolate tones are available by project.

What Makes Vertical Grain Valuable

Fine-line aesthetic: subtle edge-grain lines read clean and minimal on tall faces.

Edge as a feature: a small R3–R5 round-over reveals the same color and grain on the edge-often no edgeband needed.

Flat after finishing: symmetric V/H/V or V/V/V lay-ups resist telegraphing and paint stress.

Fast to install: factory Matte UV finish saves booth time; Primer-UV both sides speeds paint programs.

Sustainable: rapidly renewable Moso bamboo; FSC® Chain-of-Custody supply on request

Material Science

Narrow slats are kiln-dried, sanded and glued edge to edge to form a single-ply plate.

Plates are cross-laminated into 3-, 5- or multi-ply lay-ups and hot-pressed for strength.

The result is a panel that is 3–4× more dimensionally stable than oak, with edges that match the face because the color runs through the lamellas.

Adhesive systems: E0/E1 low-VOC for interiors or WBP phenolic for wet cleaning and coastal projects

How It's Built (Why "Vertical")

Edge-up lamellas: slender bamboo strips are oriented vertically (edge grain), then cross-balanced with a matching core to reduce movement.

Through-color option: choose Natural for a pale tone or Carbonized (caramel) for warm amber; both show consistently on routed edges.

Balanced lay-ups: typical V/H/V or V/V/V constructions keep large faces true after paint or clear coat.

Adhesives: interior E0/E1 low-VOC; WBP phenolic for kitchens, vanities, or coastal shops that see frequent cleaning.

Finishing Recipes

CNC / routing: use compression or up/down-cut tooling for clean shoulders; hinge cups and pockets machine well.

Sawing: fine-tooth ATB with a scorer for chip-free faces.

Oil-wax: apply very thin coats-bamboo is dense; wipe back thoroughly.

Wet zones: specify WBP and seal all edges and cut-outs (sinks, appliances).

Long shelves: for spans over 800–900 mm, add a 36–40 mm front stiffener or hidden sub-rail.

Where It Fits Best

Kitchen & wardrobe fronts, drawer components

Reception desks, shopfitting, wall & ceiling cladding

Worktops/countertops (specify WBP & full edge sealing)

Stair risers, stringer covers, acoustic slat walls

Van/RV cabinets where light weight and tidy grain matter

Bamboo Plywood Application

Quality, safety & sustainability

Batch-matched color sorting for consistent cabin sets.

Traceable kiln curves, press schedules, and calibration files.

Fast-growing Moso bamboo reduces pressure on slow-growth hardwoods; FSC® supply available

Packaging & Delivery

Parts are stacked with kraft interleaves, shrink-wrapped by kit, edge-guarded, and PET-strapped to ISPM-15 pallets. Labels on each pack mirror the packing list and pallet map so installers find parts quickly. Mixed loads (thickness/grain/finish/kit) are supported

FAQ –Bamboo Plywood Cut-to-Size

Q1. Vertical vs. horizontal-what's the real difference?
Vertical uses edge grain lamellas for a tight, linear look and slightly higher surface hardness; horizontal shows wider stripes.

Q2. Is vertical grain better for tall doors?
Yes. Its calm pattern plus a cross-balanced core helps large faces stay flat after coating.

Q3. Can I leave edges exposed?
Absolutely-round to R3–R5 and clear-coat; the fine line edge is a design feature.

Q4. Which glue should I pick for kitchens or vanities?
Choose WBP phenolic and seal all edges/cut-outs. For dry interiors, E0/E1 is sufficient.

Q5. Do you offer long boards?
Yes-3000/3100/4050/4100 mm lengths are available; we can CNC, label and kit per room schedule
